Hello I am Maggie, owner and operator of Lone Prairie PHS! I'm an east central Illinois native, college graduate, horse enthusiast and lover of all things turquoise. I spent the early part of my professional career in commercial and Ag banking, but have spent the past five years in the food ingredient industry as a grain merchandiser specializing in producer risk management. However, in September 2018, I was able to devote all my time to Lone Prairie!My horse career began at a young age showing AQHA, APHA and POAC halter and pleasure horses competitively throughout the U.S.

I also raised and showed commercial club calves and Chester White pigs for 4-H and FFA. During this time, I was also a member of the nationally ranked Illinois State 4-H Horse Judging Team, which led to a junior college scholarship in Livestock Judging. With my team, I traveled to stock shows in Denver, Houston, Kansas City and was high individual in sheep at the North American Livestock Exposition in Louisville, KY.I currently travel extensively throughout the Midwest competing in barrel racing. In 2016, I finished in the top five at the NBHA Great Lakes National Open, was a 2017 and 2018 Bonus Race Finals World qualifier, the 2017 Reserve Open 4D Champion at the Illinois State NBHA Show and finished in the Top 5 of the 2017 Better Barrel Races Eastern Region.I have passion for performance equine nutrition and therapy. I have worked hard to gain a vast knowledge of information and education, which I hope to share with you here!I currently reside in central Illinois, with my husband Shawn, two dogs and two horses.
